How does VFA.auditor utilize this new Library?

The VFA Assessment Library introduces a new data-centric platform that changes the way VFA.auditor surveys are generated. Moving away from the one-size-fits-all approach, VFA.auditor now pulls building system content out of the assessment library to dynamically generate surveys that are aligned with the actual building type. The result is a survey that is designed to capture data that is representative of the specific building systems.

The VFA Assessment Library captures the knowledge of the VFA Professional Services facility assessors with an average of over 20 years of industry experience. The library is comprised of over 600 building system models based on VFA’s accumulated expertise and best practices, as well as industry standards such as BOMA lifetimes, UNIFORMAT II Categories, and RSMeans costing.

VFA.auditor 2.0 produces assessment surveys that are tightly coupled to the building type, resulting in more accurate data collection and enhancing the visibility of facility-centric requirements across the entire portfolio.
